6.2.2.7 marking of refillable UN pressure receptacles

refillable UN pressure receptacles must be clearly and legibly marked with certification, use and manufacturing marks. These marks must be permanently marked (e.g. printed, engraved or etched) on the pressure reservoir. The mark must be marked on the shoulder, top or neck of the pressure reservoir or on components permanently fixed to the pressure reservoir (such as welded collars or corrosion protection labels welded to the enclosure of closed cryogenic reservoirs). In addition to the UN container symbol, the minimum size of the mark must be 5 mm for pressure receptacles with a diameter greater than or equal to 140 mm and 2.5 mm for pressure receptacles with a diameter less than 140 mm. The minimum size of the UN container symbol must be 10 mm for pressure receptacles with a diameter greater than or equal to 140 mm and 5 mm for pressure receptacles with a diameter less than 140 mm

6.2.2.7.1 the following certification marks must be used:

(a) the United Nations container symbol

this symbol can only be marked on pressure receptacles that meet the requirements of these Regulations for United Nations pressure receptacles

(b) technical standards used in design, manufacturing and testing (such as ISO)

(c) the mark of the country of ratification represented by the identification symbol used by motor vehicles in international traffic

(d) the identification mark or stamp of the inspection agency registered with the competent authority of the marking approval country

(E) the date of the first inspection, the year (four digits) followed by the month (two digits) is separated by a slash (i.e. "/")

6.2.2.7.2 the following operation marks must be used:

(f) test pressure in bar, preceded by the letter "pH" and followed by the letter "bar"

(g) the weight of the empty pressure reservoir, including all permanent additional components (such as collar, foot ring, etc.), is expressed in kilograms, followed by the letter "kg". This weight does not include the weight of valves, valve protective caps or valve protective devices, any coatings or porous materials used for acetylene. The weight must be expressed in three significant figures, rounded to the last digit. For gas cylinders less than 1kg, the weight must be automatically calculated by two digits at the end of the test, including the maximum air force, upper and lower yield strength, hysteresis ring method, gradual approximation method, non proportional extension strength, tensile strength, medium compressive strength, arbitrary point elongation strength, arbitrary point load extension, elastic modulus, elongation, maximum value, minimum value, average value, net energy Turn back energy, total energy, tortuous modulus, breakpoint displacement x% load, breakpoint load x% displacement, and other significant figures, rounded to the last digit

(H) the minimum guaranteed wall thickness of the pressure reservoir is in mm, followed by the letter "mm". Pressure receptacles with water capacity less than or equal to one liter, composite gas cylinders or closed cryogenic receptacles do not need this mark

(I) in the case of pressure receptacles for compressed gas, un1001 (dissolved acetylene) and un3374 (acetylene, solvent-free), the working pressure in bar, preceded by the letter "PW". If it is a closed cryogenic reservoir, add the letter "MAWP" before the maximum allowable working pressure

(J) in the case of pressure receptacles for liquefied gases or frozen liquefied gases, the water capacity in liters, rounded to the last digit, composite materials have also achieved great development in China in recent years, represented by three significant figures, followed by the letter "L". If the value of the minimum or nominal water capacity is an integer, the number after the decimal point can be omitted

(k) if it is a pressure receptacle used for loading un1001 dissolved acetylene, the total weight of the empty pressure receptacle, accessories and accessories that are not removed during loading, porous substances, solvents and saturated gases shall be represented by two significant digits rounded to the last digit, followed by the letter "kg"

(L) in the case of pressure receptacles used for loading un3374 solvent-free acetylene, the total weight of empty pressure receptacles, accessories and accessories that are not removed during loading, and porous substances shall be represented by two significant digits rounded to the last digit, followed by the letter "kg"

6.2.2.7.3 the following manufacturing marks must be used:

(m) identification symbol of cylinder thread (e.g. 25E). Closed cryogenic containers do not need this mark

(n) manufacturer's mark registered by the competent authority. When the country of manufacture is different from the country of approval, the manufacturer's mark must be preceded by the mark of the country of manufacture represented by the identification symbol used by motor vehicles in international traffic. The national logo and the manufacturer's logo must be separated by spaces or slashes

(o) serial number given by the manufacturer

(P) in the case of steel pressure receptacles and composite pressure receptacles with steel liners intended to ship gases that may make steel hydrogen brittle, the letter "H" indicates the compatibility of steel (see iso:1997)

6.2.2.7.4 the above marks must be listed in three groups

- manufacturing marks are the top group, which must be listed continuously in the order given in 6.2.2.7.3

- the use mark in 6.2.2.7.2 should be placed in the middle group. If the working pressure (I) is required, the test pressure (f) must be immediately after the working pressure

certification marks are the lowest group and must be listed in the order given in 6.2.2.7.1

the following are examples of markings applicable to gas cylinders

6.2.2.7.5 it is allowed to make other marks outside the side wall, but these marks must be made in the low stress area, and their size and depth must not cause harmful stress concentration. If it is a closed cryogenic container, this mark can be used on a separate label embedded on the cover

such marks shall not conflict with the specified marks

6.2.2.7.6 in addition to the above marks, each refillable pressure receptacle that meets the requirements of 6.2.2.4 periodic inspection and test must also be marked to show:

(a) the national identification letter of the institution that approves the periodic inspection and test. If the agency is approved by the competent authority of the approved country of production, this mark is not required
